STAMPED CONCRETE.

Stamped concrete patios and walkways. Pattern-embossed finish mimicking flagstone, slate, tile, or running-bond brick — the visual register of natural stone at concrete cost. Spec'd with UV-stable color systems for Phoenix sun and a refresh-sealer schedule named on the proposal.

Patios · Walkways · Pool Decks

  • UV-STABLE COLOR SYSTEM

Integral pigment plus UV-stable color hardener — not color hardener alone. Surface coatings fade aggressively under the Phoenix UV index 9–11; our spec is engineered to hold the pattern read.

  • CALICHE-RATED BASE

Same base discipline as a structural slab — sized to the limestone hardpan our crews hit at 18–36 inches. A pretty surface on a bad base fails in a season.

  • SEALER SCHEDULE NAMED

Re-seal cadence (typically every 2 to 3 years outdoors) named on the proposal. Without the refresh schedule the pattern fades — that's normal weathering, not a warranty failure.

  • FIXED PRICE IN WRITING

Pattern selection, color spec, mix design, sealer schedule, and slip-resistance additive (for pool decks) named on the proposal. Same-visit written quote.

Stamped concrete patterns for East Valley exteriors

Most stamped concrete projects land in one of these pattern families — flagstone for the natural stone look, slate for the geometric register, tile for traditional elevations, or running-bond brick for the classic curb appeal. Pattern, color, and sealer schedule are all named on the proposal.

Stamped concrete that holds the pattern in Phoenix sun

Stamped concrete performance in the East Valley is dominated by UV. The Phoenix sun pushes color hardener — the pigment that gives stamped concrete its stone-look surface — to fade if the spec is wrong. Background at Wikipedia's stamped concrete entry covers the basics. We spec integral pigment plus UV-stable color hardener, never color hardener alone.

Base and joint detailing follow the ACI 332 residential concrete code — same discipline as a structural slab. The pattern is a finish detail on top of a properly-engineered slab; without the right base for caliche soil, the pattern is decorative damage waiting to happen. Pattern execution standards live at the American Society of Concrete Contractors.

Sealer schedule is the other piece most contractors skip. Outdoor stamped concrete needs a re-seal every 2 to 3 years to hold the pattern depth and protect against monsoon water. We name the schedule on the proposal so you know what maintenance the finish requires. Workmanship warranty is five years in writing on installation, Licensed in Arizona, verifiable through the ROC contractor search.

What pairs with stamped concrete

Stamped concrete usually expands into a larger scope. Concrete patio install is the standard pour underneath the stamp. Walkways in matching stamp pattern tie the patio back to the front and side elevations.

For richer color or combined finishes, see custom concrete. For the full backyard scope, the backyard hardscape pillar bundles stamped patio, walkways, ramadas, and planting beds under one dedicated PM. Patio covers usually pair too — see patio covers + ramadas.

DESIGNED. BUILT. BACKED BY US.

One dedicated PM. Specialist concrete + finish crew. Same-visit written quote with pattern, color, and sealer schedule named.

WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY.

Five-year written workmanship warranty on installation. Surface color fade and sealer refresh on the named schedule are normal AZ weathering, not warranty failures.

Frequently asked

Asked and answered.

Does stamped concrete fade in Phoenix sun?
Surface color hardeners fade aggressively under five-month-UV exposure. We spec integral pigment plus UV-stable color hardener, and the proposal names a sealer-refresh schedule (typical: every 2 to 3 years) to keep the pattern reading. Without that schedule, fading is normal and not a workmanship failure.
Is stamped concrete slip-resistant enough for a pool deck?
With a slip-resistance additive mixed into the sealer, yes. Without it, wet stamped concrete becomes slick. We name the sealer spec and the slip-resistance additive on the proposal for any pool-deck application. For a pure pool deck without pattern, broom finish or exposed aggregate are usually better fits.
How does stamped concrete compare to flagstone?
Flagstone is the actual stone — heavier, more expensive, longer-lasting visual register, no sealer maintenance. Stamped concrete is the photographic version: lower cost, monolithic slab (no joints between stones for weeds), but requires sealer refresh on schedule. Both work in the desert; the right choice depends on budget, joint preference, and ownership horizon.
What's the warranty?
Five-year written workmanship warranty on installation — that covers the base, pour, pattern execution, and color application. Manufacturer warranty on color hardener and sealer products pass through. Surface fading and sealer refresh on the named schedule are normal aging.
