Windows and exterior doors in Gilbert

Single-pane swaps, full window packages, exterior doors. Dual-pane low-E sized for desert exposure — measurably quieter inside and a real drop on the next APS bill. We size, install, flash, and finish-trim correctly so the window isn't the cause of the next water-intrusion problem.

Why upgrade

What dual-pane low-E actually does in AZ

The lowest-hanging energy fruit in a 1990s East Valley home is single-pane aluminum-frame windows. They conduct heat in like a frying pan, leak around the frame, and contribute 25–40% of summer cooling loss in homes built before low-E was code.

A dual-pane low-E swap with a properly-spec'd U-factor (target ≤0.30) and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (target ≤0.25 for west-facing) typically drops measured cooling load 15–25%. The number on your APS bill in August moves. Interior noise drops noticeably from the airport approach, dirt-bike lots, or major arterials.

Our scope

Single-window vs full package

Single-window replacement: usually triggered by a broken seal (fogged glass), failed hardware, or a specific room (kid's bedroom, west-facing master) that needs comfort relief now. We measure to the existing rough opening, order to spec, install with new flashing tape and proper exterior trim seal. One-day install per window typically.

Full window package (8–16 openings): the better economic move if you're already past 'one window' and the rest of the house is original. Volume drops per-unit cost and the labor scope is half as much per opening as one-offs.

Exterior doors: front entry, slider, French doors, side gate access. We handle the frame, threshold, weatherstrip, exterior trim, and finish hardware. Garage doors are not in our trade — refer-out.

Brand-wise, we install Andersen, Pella, Milgard, and Jeld-Wen lines that have desert exposure ratings. We don't push a single brand — we'll quote two options at different price/spec tiers so you can compare.

Common questions

Asked and answered

How much does a window replacement cost in Gilbert?
Per-opening cost varies by size, brand, and frame type. Typical single double-hung replacement runs $750–$1,400 installed. Large sliders or fixed picture windows run $1,800–$4,000. Full packages of 10–14 openings typically run $9,000–$22,000 depending on spec.
Are dual-pane low-E windows worth it in Arizona?
Yes, especially on west-facing openings and in pre-2000 homes with aluminum-frame singles. Cooling-load reduction in the 15–25% range is normal in our measurements. Payback is typically 7–11 years on energy savings alone — faster if you factor in resale impact.
Can you replace just one window?
Yes. Single-window replacement is a normal scope and we do them weekly. Pricing is per-opening; we don't push a 'whole house or nothing' minimum.
Do you install Andersen / Pella / Milgard?
We install all three plus Jeld-Wen. We don't have a captive-brand bias — we'll quote two options and let you compare price, look, and warranty terms side-by-side.
What about hurricane / impact glass?
Not standard in AZ — different threat profile than Florida. Tempered glass is required by code for windows below 18" or near doors, and we install that as spec. Impact-rated glass is available but rarely justified by exposure here.
